Andhra Pradesh sees rise in black fungus cases, active case tally at 677

Andhra Pradesh has seen a surge in cases of black fungus, with the total case now going up to 4,597 in the state.

Andhra Pradesh has seen a surge in cases of mucormycosis, also known as black fungus. According to the state health department, total cases of black fungus have gone up to 4,597. In the last one week, 151 cases of mucormycosis were reported in the state along with 14 deaths. There were 225 recoveries during the same time period, said the health department on Monday.
