PHCs and area hospitals have been ramped up to provide treatment to children. Three pediatric care centres in Vishakapatnam, Tirupati and Krishna-Guntur regions are being set up as well.
Andhra Pradesh, one of the worst-hit states by the Covid-19 pandemic, is witnessing a decline in its positivity rate, but the rise in cases among children has worried the government. The admission of nine children, aged between four and 10, to the S.V.R. Ruia Government General Hospital in Chittoor district's Tirupati, alerted the administration. Three of the children are in the ICU. The district has been an epicentre during the first and second wave. At the S.V.R. Ruia Hospital, which is one of the biggest multi-speciality hospitals in the Rayalseema region, the state has now set up a special pediatric Covid ward.More Related News
