Andhra Pradesh Police arrested TDP leader P Narayana in connection with a class 10 exam paper leak at his institute in Tirupati.
Chittoor Police on Tuesday arrested Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader P Narayana in connection with a class 10 exam paper leak at Narayana School in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati, owned by the former minister. Nine people, including government school staff were arrested in connection with the case.
On April 27, District Educational Officer filed a complaint when he found out that the SSC exam paper was being circulated in WhatsApp groups by unknown persons. He reportedly received an image of the question paper through a reporter and he tallied with the original Telugu question paper.
After commencement of examination, some unknown miscreants ,who had access to the question paper, could have shared the images in the WhatsApp groups, thereby indulging in criminal breach of trust and malpractice of public examinations. This was an attempt to get all students passed.

According to the police, the school management were focused on teaching other subjects with an aim of securing a better ranking in JEE and NEET, so much so that they ignored language subjects.
To overcome this and to achieve 100% results, TDP Narayana allegedly gave instructions to all deans, principals, vice principals to manage the government teachers, who were deputed for invigilation duties of SSC examination centers in all districts, to get the question paper out of the center, a few minutes after the commencement of exams.
"Then the subject experts will prepare answers to the questions and managed to supply the answer slips to reach their students either through water boys or through others with the active cooperation of invigilators,‘’ the police alleged.
