Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana on April 23 conducted a field inspection of roads in the Amaravati capital region, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled public meeting on May 2, 2025.
Accompanied by Guntur Range Inspector General of Police Sarvashresta Tripathi, the minister reviewed the access roads and parking arrangements at the public meeting venue.
On the occasion, Minister Narayana reiterated that tenders worth Rs. 64,000 crore have been finalised for various developmental works in the capital region. He announced that the Amaravati capital works will be officially relaunched by Mr Modi during his visit on May 2.
“The Prime Minister will participate in the public meeting from 4 PM to 5 PM, and we expect a turnout of over five lakh people,” the minister said.
Some of the key roads leading to the venue are still under construction, but the minister assured people that these would be completed on a war-footing in coordination with the APCRDA staff and the police department.
“We are working round-the-clock to ensure all infrastructure is ready in time,” he added.
As part of the arrangements, 11 dedicated parking zones are being developed. Crowd movement has been planned through multiple routes including Mangalagiri, Tadikonda, Harishchandrapuram, Prakasam Barrage, and the West Bypass.
