Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday distributed 1.25 lakh house site pattas to beneficiaries in the state's Anakapalli district.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy distributed house site pattas to the recipients at Pydivada Agraharam of Sabbavaram mandal, Anakapalli district on Thursday.
In the coming days, approximately 1.25 lakh people in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts will receive house site pattas under the Chief Minister's ambitious pet project.
As part of the "NavaratnaluPedalandariki Illu", a total of 30.70 lakh house pattas have been distributed in the state under the Jagananna Housing scheme. These 30.70 lakh houses are distributed across 17,000 Jagananna colonies at a cost of Rs. 55,000 crore. Phase 1 already has 15.60 lakh houses under construction.
"Around 10,228 houses are being constructed in the colony of Pydivada Agraharam alone. We are giving each one a space with a value of Rs. 6 lakh. It is the government’s aim to reduce the financial burden on the beneficiaries who are constructing houses and give comfortable and affordable houses to every poor person in the state under the 'Pedalandiki Illu' scheme," the CM said.
The CM further said, "Court proceedings have caused a 489-day delay in the issuance of house pattas. The cases have now been resolved in court. Regardless of the obstacles, we will provide homes for the poor."
"Once the construction of the house is completed, each woman in a family would have an asset worth Rs 10 lakh," he added.
