Amitabh Bachchan pays emotional tribute to Bappi Lahiri. Says 'slowly they all leave us'

The world woke up to the news of legendary singer Bappi Lahiri’s demise last morning. The legendary singer-composer breathed his last on the night of February 15 at the age of 69. Many celebs were spotted arriving at their beloved Bappi Da’s house on February 16. Social media was filled with condolences for the late singer. Amitabh Bachchan, who had collaborated with Bappi Lahiri for many songs back in the day, penned an emotional tribute on his blog post.
Bappi Lahiri’s demise on February 15 has left the nation in a state of shock. After many celebs from B-Town condoled his passing on social media, Amitabh Bachchan called the legendary singer “extraordinaire” in his daily blog post. Big B wrote, “Bappi Lahiri .. music director extraordinaire passes away .. shocked and surprised and in the misery of these tragic events of ‘passing’ in the rapid succession of times .. his songs of films with me are and shall I believe remain eternal .. they are played hummed sung along in these modern generation times with alacrity and rejoice .. and the ability of his sense of success with a particular moment, untethered .. checking in to board a flight at Heathrow from London to home and a gentle tap on your shoulder.”
Further adding, “Your this film is going to be very successful and the song I just gave, shall be remembered for ages’ .. he was right .. and learning the graphs of some, at his modest home , in rehearsal, an even greater experience .. slowly they all leave us.”
The mortal remains of Bappi Lahiri have been taken to Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai for last rites. His son Bappa Lahiri was seen arriving in Mumbai with his wife and son last night.
Bappi Lahiri left a void that shall remain until eternity.
