
Amitabh Bachchan donates medical equipment worth Rs 2 crore to Mumbai hospital

Amitabh Bachchan has donated ventilators and other medical equipment worth Rs 2 crore to a Mumbai hospital. The veteran actor has made several donations for Covid-care in the recent past.
Amitabh Bachchan recently donated two Class 1 type state-of-the-art intensive care ventilators to Sion Hospital in Mumbai. The medical equipment is used to provide ventilatory support to patients who cannot breathe on their own or who require assistance to maintain adequate ventilation. Sion Hospital has received machines, monitors, CRM image intensifiers, infusion pumps, etc. worth approximately Rs 2 crores as a donation. The superintendent of the hospital, Dr Mohan Joshi, thanked Amitabh Bachchan for the gesture on behalf of all the doctors and medical staff of the hospital. The Sion Hospital officials have said that both the ventilators have been operational in the surgical department of Sion Hospital for a few days. About 30 patients have been effectively treated with the two new ventilators.More Related News
