Amit Shah offered condolences over the demise of a BJP worker who alleged harassment by TRS minister. A fact-finding committee of the party visited the family in Khammam district to conduct an inquiry.
Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Tuesday spoke to the family of a party worker who died by suicide due to alleged harassment by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) minister.
Amit Shah expressed grief and consoled Savitri, the grandmother of BJP worker Sai Ganesh who died by suicide, after 16 cases were allegedly filed against him for ‘no fault of his’, claim the party and his family.
It is alleged that false cases were filed against Ganesh at the behest of state transport minister Ajay Kumar and his associates.

BJP Tamil Nadu co-incharge Pongulati Sudhakar Reddy visited Ganesh's residence to offer condolences. BJP has demanded a CBI probe into the incident as there is an alleged involvement of TRS leaders and Telangana Police.

Ganesh, who was president of the BJP Kisan Mazdoor Union, consumed pesticide in front of three police stations in Telangana’s Khammam district, on Thursday, April 14. He died at a hospital in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment on Saturday, April 16.
