IPL 2021: Delhi Capials leg-spinner Amit Mishra, who his took his all-time tally to 164 wickets after a match-winning spell against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday, said he is not focussed on breaking Lasith Malinga's record for the most wickets by a bowler in the IPL.
Amit Mishra has been one of the unsung heroes of Indian Premier League. The 38-year-old spinner has picked up 164 wickets in 152 matches in the IPL and is just 7 wickets away from breaking Lasith Malinga's all-time record for the most wickets in the T20 league. Only thrice has Amit Mishra picked up less than 10 wickets in a season in the IPL. The veteran leg-spinner showcased on Tuesday that he still has the goods to single-handedly win his team high-pressure IPL matches. Playing for the Delhi Capitals, the leg-spinner rattled Mumbai Indians' batting unit with a match-winning spell of 4 for 24. Mishra was nearly unplayable as he troubled the Mumbai Indians batsmen with his spin-bolwing prowess.
