Amir meets Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs

The two sides also discussed the most prominent regional and international developments, especially the situation in Afghanistan.

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met on Sunday morning at his Amiri Diwan office with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the friendly Italian Republic Luigi Di Maio and the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of his visit to the country. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and means to support them. The two sides also discussed the most prominent regional and international developments, especially the situation in Afghanistan. In this regard, the Italian Minister expressed the Italian Republic's thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for the State of Qatar's role and efforts in facilitating the evacuation of Italian citizens from Afghanistan.
