Amir holds telephone conversation with the Russian President

Doha: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held via telephone a conversation with President of the Russian Federation HE Vladimir Putin.

The call reviewed bilateral relations and the means to enhance bilateral cooperation in the economic, investment, and sports fields, particularly cooperation in the field of hosting the World Cup 2022. HE the Russian President in that regard thanked HH the Amir for participating in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2021), which had an impact on enhancing cooperation between the two countries. For his part, HH the Amir expressed his thanks to the Russian President for hosting the State of Qatar in this year's forum, adding that he looks forward to seeing the results of the forum contribute to enhancing joint cooperation between the State of Qatar and Russia to higher levels.
