Amir chairs first meeting of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, chaired on Wednesday morning the Council's first meeting in 2021, which was held via video conference. HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, participated in the meeting along with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Executive Member of the Council, and Their Excellencies members of the Council. During the meeting, the Council reviewed the progress of 2020's decisions and recommendations, and approved mechanisms to follow up and monitor decisions and projects. The council was also briefed on developments related to the Investment Promotion Agency, the Free Zones Authority, as well as developments in the energy and investment fields. The Council also discussed topics on the meeting's agenda, and took the appropriate measures regarding them. (QNA)More Related News
