Amid reports of internal bickering in the Gujarat unit of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi held a closed-door meeting with party MLAs in Dahod on Tuesday.
Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Gujarat is crucial ahead of state Assembly polls scheduled to be held later this year. After the meeting with the tribals, Rahul Gandhi held a closed-door meeting with Gujarat Congress MLAs.
Ahead of the Gujarat assembly elections, there was a lot of chatter earlier about Prashant Kishor being poll strategist for the Congress. Many believed that the move would have helped Congress perform well in the polls. However, after Prashant Kishor's exit, the Gujarat Congress leadership is in need of a good poll strategist. The Congress MLAs reportedly asked for a political strategist who could make a good ground strategy and focus on all 182 seats in the state assembly.
