Amid horse-trading allegations, AAP to bring confidence motion in Punjab Assembly today

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann will present the confidence motion in the state assembly as his government accuses the BJP of trying to topple his government.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab will on Tuesday bring a confidence motion in the state assembly, House Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has said.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will present the confidence motion in the Assembly, days after his ministers alleged that the opposition BJP was trying to topple the AAP government by offering money to its MLAs.
After days of squabble between the Raj Bhavan and the AAP government, the Governor finally gave his nod to hold the special session of the Assembly on September 27. This came after the state government informed him that issues like stubble burning, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and power supply will be taken up during the one-day session of the Assembly.
The AAP government had earlier sought a special session on September 22 to bring a confidence motion. The AAP claimed that the BJP had approached 10 of its MLAs and offered them Rs 25 crore each to join their party and topple the government.
The BJP has denied these allegations.
The AAP enjoys a full majority in Punjab with 92 MLAs in the 117-member House.
