America's VetDogs, based in Smithtown, N.Y., trains puppies to become service dogs for America's veterans and first responders who need them and who are eligible for these wonderful pets.
"Our mission is to help those who have served our country honorably live with dignity and independence." The eligibility requirements for a service dog include being able to meet the physical and emotional needs of the pet. Maureen Mackey is managing editor of lifestyle for Fox News Digital.
