Celebrating Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's birth anniversary at Government Law College in Madurai with inspiring speeches and events.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary celebrations were held at the Government Law College in Madurai on Wednesday.
Madras High Court Judge Justice G. R. Swaminathan, in his special address, advised the students to read about Ambedkar and the books written on Ambedkar.
He said that Ambedkar would read books at a stretch for hours and told the students to draw inspiration from Ambedkar.
Professor D. Ramakrishnan, Chairperson of School of Social Science, Madurai Kamaraj University, said Ambedkar was a symbol of knowledge and spoke about his contributions to society.
Principal P. Kumaran spoke about the various events organised as part of the Ambedkar birth anniversary celebrations. He spoke about the various works of Ambedkar and advised the students to follow in Ambedkar’s footsteps and stay disciplined.
Assistant Professor K. Gnana Sambandan welcomed the gathering and Assistant Professor T. S. Venkateshan proposed a vote of thanks. Advocate L. Shaji Chellan was present. The judge felicitated the winners and participants of the competitions.
