Ambassador of Qatar inspects projects funded by Qatar Friendship Fund in Japan

Ambassador Al Emadi expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and reception, noting that the projects of the QFF in the disaster-affected areas represent a symbol of friendship and cooperation between Qatar and Japan and the two friendly peoples.
Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan Hassan bin Mohammed Rafi al-Emadi recently made a tour of inspection to two facilities, which were completed by the Qatar Friendship Fund (QFF) in Japan in Fukushima prefecture, as part of the fund's projects for the reconstruction of areas that witnessed widespread damage due to the earthquake and tsunami disasters in March 2011. The ambassador, along with members of the embassy, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy Abdullah bin Jassim al-Zeyarah and the Third Secretary at the embassy Nasser bin Yousef al-Kaabi, began the tour with a visit to Qatar Sports Park in Shirakawa City in Fukushima, the hardest-hit prefectures. The Ambassador was welcomed by the Mayor of Shirakawa Kazuo Suzuki, and a number of senior officials. Suzuki expressed his thanks and appreciation for the generous assistance provided by the State of Qatar and the great support for the efforts to rebuild the city, pointing out that many of the affected areas have regained their vitality, thanks to the efforts of the QFF, and that this sports facility contributes to refining talents and discovering sports skills for the youth of the city and the surrounding areas.
