Amazon workers in Alabama vote against unionising

In a major victory for online retailing behemoth Amazon, workers in an Amazon fulfillment centre in Bessemer, Alabama have voted against forming a union, according to an unofficial tally of ballots. 

In a major victory for online retailing behemoth Amazon, workers in an Amazon fulfillment centre in Bessemer, Alabama have voted against forming a union, according to an unofficial tally of ballots. More than 1,800 votes opposing unionising have already been cast, blocking the necessary 1,608 votes the union needed to succeed. Counting continues and an official announcement of the result is still pending from the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
