Amarnath spreading false propaganda, say NDA leaders

TDP leader criticizes former Minister for false claims on development projects, questions his contributions to Visakhapatnam.
TDP district present Gandi Babjee came down heavily on former Minister Gudivada Amarnath for his comments stating that the NDA government was taking credits for the development projects ‘which were initiated by the YSRCP government’.
Addressing the media, Mr. Babji questioned Amarnath to reveal the projects or investments which he had brought to Visakhapatnam during the YSRCP’s tenure.
He said that Mr. Amarnath should remember how he was refused by the people in the last election. “Making such baseless statements will add to the bad reputation of Mr. Amarnath,” he said and alleged that the previous YSRCP government has failed to provide land for the railway zone headquarters.
Jana Sena Party (JSP) corporator P.L.V.N. Murthy alleged that that Mr. Amarnath was busy spreading false propaganda. He said that Mr. Amarnath was elected by the people of Anakapalli but he had failed to even provide drinking water to the residents of his constituency.

Nearly a decade after the Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes completed the Socio-economic and Educational Survey (caste census) of families in the State, the Cabinet on Friday accepted the report — running into 50 volumes — which will now be discussed in detail at the special Cabinet meeting on April 17.

A Cabinet sub-committee has been announced to look into the future of the Bangalore-Mysuru Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project being executed by the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE). The sub-committee, that is yet to be formed, will look into allegations of excess land being acquired, sale of land and other issues, and would explore whether the road project should be continued or not. The report is expected in two to three months.
