Amarinder Singh to form party of his own, says waiting for EC to confirm party symbol

Months before the Punjab Assembly elections, former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh confirmed that he will form his own political party and that "there'll be "plenty of Congressmen coming in".
Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh confirmed on Wednesday that he would be forming his own political party in Punjab months before the Punjab Assembly elections. He said he would confirm the party's name and symbol once the Election Commission gives the go ahead.
"Yes, I am forming the party. I don't know what its name will be. Let's wait for the elections commission which will decide the symbol. My lawyers are working on it," Captain Amarinder Singh said during a press conference on Wednesday.Amarinder Singh said, "Once the party is announced, I promise, we will fight on all 117 seats...There will be plenty of Congressmen coming here."
