Allow all women MPs to take part: Sushmita Dev to panel chief on marriage age bill

TMC MP Sushmita Dev wrote to the chairperson of the Parliamentary standing committee urging him to allow all the women MPs to testify before the panel reviewing legal marriage age.

Taking to microblogging site Twitter -- the lone woman MP in the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports -- Dev requested the chairperson to invoke rule no 84 (3) to allow all women MPs to testify before the committee on the Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill 2021.
