CBSN
The last two people missing after a Christmas avalanche at a ski resort in western Austria contacted authorities late Sunday and the search for them was called off, the Reuters news agency reports, citing the Austrian Press Agency (APA).
Ten skiers were initially thought to be unaccounted for, based on a skier's video, APA said, adding that four of the ten were hurt, at least one seriously.
The avalanche came down around 3:00 p.m. at an altitude of 8,858 feet in the Lech Zurz ski area, police said. The Times of London reported it happened on Trittkopf mountain.
