All Haryana schools expected to use NCERT books for all classes

Haryana schools -- both CBSE and state boards and even the private schools of Faridabad -- are expected to use NCERT books for all classes.
NCERT books will now be used in all Haryana schools, including private schools of Faridabad, beginning from the new academic session. According to local media sources, the District Education Department has forced private schools to include NCERT books in their curricula at low costs. This would be consistent with public schools.
Until now, NCERT texts were mostly used in Haryana government schools, with books from other publishers being used in private schools.
Changes are expected in the coming days, with the District Education Department asking the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, and Haryana Board of School Education, HBSE, to implement NCERT.
According to local media sources, the government issued these directives in response to concerns about private vendors' books being offered in private schools.
According to reports, the department believed that private schools should exclusively teach kids from the NCERT. It was even thought that selling books on school grounds or including books from private publishers in the curriculum would lead to departmental action against schools.
The impacts of this major modification implemented in a Haryana district have yet to be noticed. Meanwhile, stakeholders are once again divided on the issue, with many expressing displeasure with the action.
Some have even suggested that private schools should be allowed to choose their own literature for their students.
