In a throwback interview, Alia Bhatt opened up about her first meeting with Ranbir Kapoor. The actress was just 12-years-old when she first met RK when he was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Not many people are aware of the fact that Alia Bhatt was just 12 when she first met Ranbir for the photoshoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Balika Vadhu, which never got made. However, Alia and Ranbir have fond memories of their first meeting. In a throwback interview, Alia revealed how she reacted when she first met her 'crush' Ranbir Kapoor.

During the promotion of her 2014 film Highway, Alia recalled her first meeting with Ranbir, who was assisting SLB on Black back then. "When I met Ranbir for the first time, I was 12 years old. He was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali and I had to do a photoshoot with him. And I was so shy that I had to keep my head on his shoulder and I could not do it. Bhansali sir was saying I was flirting with Ranbir," Alia revealed.

Later in 2017, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that he has been a fan of Alia Bhatt since their first meeting. In an interview with Lokmat, the actor mentioned, "Not many people know that Alia and I were actually going to debut together when Sanjay Ji was making a film called Balika Vadhu. We had also done a photoshoot together and, since then, I have been a fan of hers."

Ranbi Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are now ready to exchange wedding vows with each other. As we reported earlier, the couple will be getting married to each other between April 13 to 17. And their grand reception will be held towards the end of April.
