Singer Dhvani Bhanushali's claim to fame was Nora Fatehi's Dilbar, followed by Vaaste. In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, the popstar spoke about her playback singing plans and said that she wants to sing for Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
It’s been four years to singer Dhvani Bhanushali’s claim to fame and she has already made a mark for herself. From her first song Vaaste hitting millions of views to Dilbar ruling the charts, Dhvani soon came to be known as the youngest Indian popstar to achieve such heights. Speaking exclusively with IndiaToday.in, Dhvani opened up about who she would love to sing for in the future.
Excerpts from the interview:
Talking about playback singing and her career, Dhvani Bhanushali told IndiaToday.in, "I think playback is great. It is exciting to see whose face your voice matches to or vice versa. I am very inclined towards pop and I feel like nobody can tell your story better than yourself. So every time I do a song, I think and want to focus more on my side of things and as and when I do playback. I am very happy to do it and very excited about the opportunities that come my way.”
After Dilbar which featured Nora Fatehi, one awaits who will she lend her beautiful voice to. Dhvani quips, "Maybe Alia Bhatt or Kareena Kapoor Khan, I feel my voice will suit them."
Dhvani started her musical journey in 2018 and ever since, she has kept producing hits after hits. Ask the 23-year-old if she feels any kind of pressure and she quickly responds, "I feel that more than youths or anybody having any expectations or pressure, you should have expectations of yourself that you fulfill. I only think about that, and every time there is a song that is going to come out, it cannot be sub power, it has to be something that I have not done before or there should be something different about it, something that I haven't done before. There has to be an element that excites me, I get bored easily so I have to keep trying things, and I am constantly working on myself. So you always have to otherwise, how do you survive."
