As of 8:45 a.m., there were 44 active wildfires in Alberta with one burning out of control: the 21,000-hectare wildfire near Fort McMurray.
That wildfire, dubbed MWF-017, has forced the evacuation of four neighbourhoods.
Evacuation centres have been set up in Lac La Biche, Cold Lake and Edmonton. Officials say evacuees will be away until at least Tuesday.
