Officials will meet with reporters at 1 p.m. in Drayton Valley, a town that was evacuated for 12 days in May.
So far Alberta has recorded 786 wildfires in 2023.
There are currently 103 burning across the province, with 14 listed as out of control.
Alberta Wildfire says more than 1.5 million hectares have burned this year so far, beating the previous record set in 1981.
