Alaska Republican Sen. Sullivan leaves DC amid coronavirus negotiations
Fox News
Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, has departed from Washington D.C. for a funeral, leaving his party with one less vote as the chamber is set to consider a slew of amendments to the coronavirus stimulus package.
"Senator Sullivan intended to vote against final passage of the bill and made his opposition clear in a statement on Thursday, after his vote against the motion to proceed with consideration of the bill," Adams reportedly said. Without Sullivan, Senate Republicans face an even tougher road to holding the line in a potential series of votes on Friday night. The so-called "vote-a-rama" was stalled earlier in the day over an issue surrounding unemployment benefits extension.More Related News
