Doha, Qatar: Al Rayyan were impressive in the previous season finishing runners-up in the Qatar Stars League (QSL) but they remained without a silverware, also losing the Qatar Cup final.
Hoping to bag maximum trophies in the new season, the Lions are looking to attain full readiness as they begin their preparations with an overseas training camp to be set up in the Netherlands next month.
According to a recent announcement made by the club, Al Rayyan’s training camp will be held from July 10 to 29, with the 2024-2025 QSL season getting underway on August 9. Also Al Shamal, who finished in ninth position in the top flight, will follow Al Rayyan as they announced to set up their preparatory camp in Tiel, the Netherlands from July 14 to August 2.
Meanwhile, Al Sadd, who relished a dominant season winning the QSL and Amir Cup titles, are solidifying their squad following the departure of Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah, who departed after spending more than eight years with the Qatar giants.
The Wesam Rizk-coached side will be boosted with new signing Rafa Mujica, who was roped in by the club for four years starting from the forthcoming season.
