Akshay Kumar shared a message on World Menstrual Hygiene Day. Remembering his 2018 film Padman which talked about sanitary napkins, he wrote he will always support the cause with his wife Twinkle Khanna.
Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to spread a message on World Menstrual Hygiene Day. The actor wrote a note on the importance of women’s hygiene and recalled how his understanding of the problems they go through became clear during his 2018 movie Padman. The film was based on a man trying to make affordable sanitary napkins and raising awareness about it. Akshay wrote that he and his wife Twinkle Khanna will always be with the cause. Sharing a clip from Padman where he gave a speech about women’s hygiene and the stigma around it, Akshay wrote, “Today is World Menstrual Hygiene day. Doing #Padman in 2018 opened my eyes to what women go through because of stigma and lack of basic sanitary facilities. Thankfully things are improving by the year. @twinklerkhanna and I will forever stay with the cause. #BreakTheTaboo (sic).”More Related News
