Akash Singh from Bihar wins Hunarbaaz Desh Ki Shaan, takes home prize money of Rs 15 lakh

Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan finally has the first winner! Akash Singh from Bihar has not just taken away the trophy but also a prize money of Rs 15 lakh.
This might be the first season of Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan but it didn’t feel like it, did it? The show that premiered on January 22, 2022, has now come to an end. And, the winner is here too! The very talented Akash Singh from Bhagalpur, Bihar has won Hunarbaaz and took home a cash prize of Rs 15 lakh. The show was jointly judged by Karan Johar, Mithun Chakraborty and Parineeti Chopra. Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were the hosts.
Colors show Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan has finally come to an end. One of the most-deserving contestants Akash Singh emerged winner of the first season of the show. He also took home a cash prize of Rs 15 lakh. Yo Highness, the dance group from Nala Sopara, Mumbai became the first runner-up.
Akash Singh has had his own share of struggles. He is an aerial dancer and has practised on trees, street lights and poles. He came to Mumbai in 2018 and has been living on the streets. After hearing his story during the auditions, Parineeti Chopra was in tears. Other judges such as Mithun Chakraborty and Karan Johar hailed his performance.
This was the first season of Hunarbaar. The platform gave people across the nation a chance to showcase their talent on national television. Hunarbaaz aired on Colors every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm. It will be replaced by Dance Deewane Juniors featuring Neetu Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Marzi Pestonji as the judges.
