India vs New Zealand: Ajinkya Rahane has been struggling for form but former batter VVS Laxman believes the stand-in captain will get another opportunity in the 2nd Test, starting December 3 in Mumbai.
Former India batter VVS Laxman said he feels Ajinkya Rahane will get one more chance to prove his worth in the middle order when India take on New Zealand in the 2nd Test, starting December 3 in Mumbai. Laxman added that head coach Rahul Dravid and returning captain Virat Kohli will back the senior batter despite his poor form in the longest format of the game.
VVS Laxman also said milestone man Shreyas Iyer might "unfortunately miss out" from the playing XI for the 2nd Test. The legendary baiter said there is no doubt that Virat Kohli will take his place in the middle-order after returning from a brief period of rest.
