New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel scripted a unique feat as he picked up his 3rd five-wicket haul in Test cricket in the ongoing match against India in Mumbai.
Mumbai-born Ajaz Patel picked up his 3rd five-wicket haul in Test cricket on Day 2 of the ongoing match at Wankhede to become the first New Zealand spinner to take a 5-wicket haul in the first innings of a Test match in India. Ajaz picked up the wickets of Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer on Day 1 of the Mumbai Test before returning to complete his five-for by sending back Wridhhiman Saha and R Ashwin in his first over on Saturday. Notably, Ajaz Patel's all three five-wicket hauls have come in Asia.
