Ajay Devgn's Runway 34 was expected to work its magic at the box office, given that the storyline of the film appealed to all. However, it took a poor start at the box office. According to reports, the aviation thriller collected in the range of Rs 3 crore to Rs 3.50 crore on its opening day.The film unfortunately opened with low-scoring figures. It posted an occupancy of around 15 per cent on the opening day, which is disappointing. All eyes are now on how Runway 34 fares through its weekend.
According to the Box Office India, "Runway 34 also did poor numbers on day one and the difference between Heropanti 2 and this film is the mass belts and those advance bulk buys at national chains for Heropanti 2. The film hardly has a release in mass belts due to KGF 2 and Heropanti and where it has managed to get theatres the collections are practically nothing."
