The Delhi High Court, last week, restrained YouTube channels from spreading false reports on Aaradhya Bachchan's health
Aaradhya Bachchan, daughter of superstars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, recently moved to the Delhi High Court after some YouTube channels shared “misleading” updates on her health. Now, a week after the Delhi High Court “restrained” several YouTube channels from publishing such content on Aaradhya's health, her mother Aishwarya has reacted to the incident. The actress, who is on a promotional spree for her upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan 2, said putting out false content is "unnecessary and insensitive". The actress told the news agency PTI, “It's so nice that a member from the media only is recognising that that does exist. So that gives us a great hope that you are obviously not going to perpetuate that, you are not going to encourage that and thank you very much for your wise recognition of the negative impact of false writing or unnecessary writing which is insensitive and unnecessary.”
The 49-year-old actress added, “So thank you so much for your support for the sentiment that we all share and for your wisdom in recognising that.”
The Delhi High Court, last week, restrained YouTube channels from spreading false reports on Aaradhya Bachchan's health, saying spreading misinformation about a child reflects "morbid perversity".
The court also directed Google to take down videos from its platform that claimed Aaradhya Bachchan was "critically ill" and "no more".
