After a long gap, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will make her comeback in Tamil with Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. The film is slated to release in two parts. According to rumours, Aishwarya is said to be in talks to play the female lead in director Nelson Dilipkumar's upcoming film with Superstar Rajinikanth. The commercial entertainer will be produced on a massive scale by Sun Pictures.
Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan teamed up for director Shankar's Enthiran, which became a humongous hit. The hit pair is likely to reunite for a new film. This time, it is for a film directed by the latest sensation, Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor fame.
A few days ago, Sun Pictures announced a new film with Nelson Dilipkumar and Rajinikanth. If reports are anything to go by, the makers are in talks with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play the female lead in the film. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.
If Aishwarya comes on board, then it will be a huge boost to the film. Soon, the makers will announce the cast and crew of the film.
Director Nelson Dilipkumar made his debut with Nayanthara's Kolamaavu Kokila. His second film, Doctor, with Sivakarthikeyan, was one of the highest grossers of 2021. Now, the filmmaker is busy with the post-production work of his upcoming film, Beast, with Thalapathy Vijay.
For his next, Nelson Dilipkumar will direct Rajinikanth in a fun entertainer. The film will go on floors once Beast releases in theatres in April.
