AICC secretary P.V. Mohan injured in road accident near Pala, Kerala, while en route to Kochi airport.
P.V. Mohan, the secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in charge of Kerala, and his driver sustained injuries in a road accident near Pala in Kottayam district of Kerala in the early hours of Monday (January 20, 2025), the police said.
The accident occurred around 2.30 am on the Pala-Ramapuram road when the vehicle, on the way to the Kochi airport, swerved to avoid a head-on collision with another vehicle, party sources said.
The sudden manoeuvre resulted in the car losing control and veering off the road.
Both Mr. Mohanan and the driver were promptly admitted to a private hospital in Pala. Their condition is said to be not serious, they added.
Mr. Mohanan was travelling to the airport to catch a flight to Goa, they said.

When reporters brought to her notice the claim by villagers that the late maharaja of Mysore Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar had gifted the land to them, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar said she is not aware of the matter, but sought to assure people that no effort will be made to take back the land that had been gifted by the late maharaja.
