AIADMK workers pass resolution urging Sasikala to lead party

In a meeting held by the AIADMK functionaries from Thoothukudi, the party workers passed a resolution urging VK Sasikala to take charge of the party. A senior AIADMK leader played down the development saying they were AMMK workers.
About 100 AIADMK functionaries from Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi met at Vilathikulam in Tuticorin on Sunday and passed a resolution in favour of VK Sasikala’s return to the party as its general secretary. The meeting was organised by district Amma Peravai (mother council) deputy secretary Ruban Velavan. The meeting condemned the removal of party functionaries and cadres who spoke to Sasikala. The party workers were removed by AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam and co-cordinator Edapadi K Palanisamy who had earlier barred them from communicating with Sasikala.More Related News
