AIADMK's ally PMK has walked out of the alliance to contest alone in the rural civic polls to nine districts on October 6 and 9.
All is not well with the AIADMK-led opposition alliance in Tamil Nadu. Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), one of the alliance partners, announced on Tuesday to contest the rural civic polls to nine districts on October 6 and 9 all alone.
The decision to contest alone was taken unanimously following a virtual meeting of party functionaries, including party founder-leader S Ramadoss and the party's youth wing chief Anbumani Ramadoss, on Tuesday.
