Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election to be held early next year, rumour has it that Congress leader Lalitesh Pati Tripathi has quit the party and may join the Samajwadi Party.
Lalitesh Pati Tripathi was the MLA from Marihan constituency in Uttar Pradesh between 2012 and 2017. A fourth-generation Congressman, he is the great-grandson of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kamlapati Tripathi.
