The farmers’ protest against the Centre’s three controversial farm laws has created many problems for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Punjab.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is having a difficult time in Punjab as anger among the farming community against its leadership and the Centre’s three contentious farm laws expands. The farmers’ protest has remained active for nearly a year now. On Sunday, the hostility towards the BJP was evident when over a dozen party leaders were taken hostage in Rajpura in Patiala by protesting farmers. Earlier in March, BJP MLA Arun Narang was attacked and in October, Punjab BJP chief Ashwani Sharma’s convoy was ambushed.More Related News
