Senior BJP leader Amit Malviya took to Twitter to slam Rahul Gandhi for saying “India will go up in flames.” Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi, who is turning 52-year-old on Sunday, has asked Congress workers to not celebrate his birthday amid the worrying situation in India.
Rahul Gandhi appealed to Congress workers to not celebate his birthday on Sunday, June 19. However, he has come under a scathing attack by the BJP, which has slammed him for saying, “India will go up in flame.”
Rahul Gandhi turned 52 on Sunday. However, he appealed to Congress workers to not celebrate his birthday. “ We are all worried about the situation arising across the country.The mind of crores of youth is sad. Let us share the pain of these youths, crores of families, stand with them,” he said.
Meanwhile, the BJP has slammed Rahul Gandhi for saying India will go up in flames. Senior BJP leader Amit Malviya took to Twitter to share a video of Rahul Gandhi during the Congress’s Chintan Shivir.
In the video, Rahul Gandhi issued a warning. “The battle has only just begun. You will see it as the time comes. India will go up in flames,” Rahul Gandhi said in his speech.
Amit Malviya in his tweet, said, “Many Congress leaders were arrested by the UP police for masquerading as youngsters being recruited by the Army and vandalising property.” He added, “A fire is being set.”
Meanwhile, amid the rampant violence across the country, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh called a review meeting at his home at 10:15 am on Sunday.
Sources said the tri-service chiefs are expected to attend the meeting and discuss the rollout of the contentious scheme and ways to pacify agitators. This is the second such meeting called by Rajnath Singh in two days.
