General Manoj Pande, the Chief of the Indian Army, said that there was no question of rolling back the Agnipath scheme as it is a win-win for both the youth and the army. He added that there will be positive changes and that it would be tweaked when it rolls out.
The Army Chief of Staff, General Manoj Pande, on Monday, June 20, said that the Agnipath scheme was a win-win for both the youngsters and the Army. He urged aspiring applicants to not be misled by wrong information.
In an exclusive interview with AajTak, the Army chief said that the Agnipath scheme would not be rolled back. He added that the schedule for recruitment will be issued today.
“No rollback of the Agnipath scheme. There will be positive changes and the scheme will be tweaked as required when it is rolled out,” said General Manoj Pande.

He further urged youngsters not to be misled by wrong information. He advised them to “focus on preparation for the physical and written exam.”
