After Virat Kohli, India batting coach Rathour backs under-fire KL Rahul: He will come out of this lean phase
India Today
KL Rahul has struggled with the bat this year ever since he came back to the Indian squad after a wrist injury that he suffered on the Australian tour in December, 2020.
Team India batting coach Vikram Rathour backed under-fire opener KL Rahul after he failed to fire with the bat yet again in the third T20 international against England in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Rahul has had a torrid time in the series so far with scores of 0, 0 and 1 in the three games out of five. But Rathour and India skipper Virat Kohli put their weight behind the Karnataka batsman despite his repeated failures in the series. He was averaging over 44 in the shortest format last year and had amassed over 400 runs from 11 games. He was the Player of the Series in the New Zealand T20Is and was the Orange Cap holder in IPL 2020 with 670 runs at a staggering average of 55.83.More Related News
