A BJP leader has moved the Jharkhand High Court seeking a ban on the use of loudspeakers for azaan in mosques as well as the offering of namaz on roads and other public places.
After Uttar Pradesh, a PIL has now been filed in the Jharkhand High Court to ban the use of loudspeakers for azaan from mosques. The petitioner, BJP leader Anuranjan Ashok has claimed that the use of loudspeakers for azaan five times a day amounts to sound pollution. He claimed that his petition has "nothing to do with religion" and was meant to combat the common problem of noise pollution.More Related News
