Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's remarks on the demolition of the Babri Masjid during his speech in the state assembly on Wednesday appear to have created a rift in Maharashtra's ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition. MVA partner Samajwadi Party (SP) is upset with Uddhav Thackeray. SP leader and MLA Abu Asim Azmi has asked the Muslim ministers in the MVA government to resign in protest. Uddhav Thackeray, while replying to the governors' address, had raked up the Babri issue. He said, "Everyone else ran away after Babri demolition, but it was Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray who owned up the responsibility saying that If my Shiv Sainiks have done this, I am proud of them."More Related News
