After winning the Rajya Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is confident of victory in the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections.
BJP state president Chandrakant Patil said the BJP’s planning for the Vidhan Parishad polls is complete and just like the Rajya Sabha elections, the party will win this too. He was speaking to media persons after a party meeting held at the BJP state office in Mumbai.
Chandrakant Patil said after the BJP tasted success in the Rajya Sabha elections under the leadership of the Leader of the Opposition, Devendra Fadnavis, it almost led to a political earthquake in Maharashtra.
Similarly, in MLC polls too, the BJP will emerge victorious, he said.

Devendra Fadnavis, during his tenure as the chief minister from 2014 to 2019, treated MLAs with respect and affection which will be converted into votes during Legislative Council elections, claimed Patil.
In response to a question on controversy over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit, he said at Dehu, after inaugurating the Shila Mandir, PM Modi addressed a gathering of varkaris.
