After Punjab win, AAP plans 'padyatra' in poll-bound Telangana

AAP chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to visit Telangana on April 14 and flag off 'padyatra' ahead of assembly elections in the state.
After a landslide victory in the Punjab Assembly Elections 2022, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is now preparing to contest the Telangana assembly polls slated for next year. The party has already announced that it will hold a 'padyatra' in Telangana ahead of the elections.
Party national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to visit Telangana on Ambedkar Jayanati on April 14 and flag off the rally.
Recently, AAP Telangana in-charge Somnath Bharati visited the state and travelled to Hyderabad and Warangal. He met party leaders and students who were preparing the ground for the party in the southern states.

Somnath Bharti, in-charge of southern states, said the AAP would fight the poll raising the common man's issue and emerge as an alternative to the BJP and the Congress.

Meanwhile, TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao reacted to the possible visit of Arvind Kejriwal to the state. He welcomed Arvind Kejriwal and said, "...in democracy, everyone has rights to contest the election. There is nothing wrong with it." He said, "Padyatra is old tactics' and not successful anymore."
