After the high court expressed dismay over the Punjab government’s inaction in the Rs 6,000-crore synthetic drug case, home minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on Monday said that the STF report in the case would be made public soon.
The Punjab government is likely to soon make public the Special Task Force (STF) report on the Rs 6,000-crore synthetic drug case. On Monday, Punjab home minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa told reporters in Patiala, “Captain Amarinder Singh kept the report in the envelope for 4.5 years. This will be made public soon.”
This development comes after the Punjab and Haryana High Court made it clear on Monday that it did not stop the Punjab government from taking action against the accused in the synthetic drug case. The court also expressed dismay over the state government’s inaction and asked why it was hesitating to take action against the accused.
