After governor Ravi returns anti-NEET Bill, political war ensues in Tamil Nadu

The DMK government convened a special Assembly session to pass the anti-NEET Bill on Saturday and send it to the Tamil Nadu governor. The Bill got 230 out of the 234 votes, with only the BJP opposing it.
State Governor RN Ravi sent back the Tamilnadu Undergraduate Medical Admission Bill (anti-NEET Bill) to the Speaker stating that it was against the interest of students from rural and poor backgrounds.
In response to this move, the DMK-led government called for an all-party meeting on Saturday, February 5, and decided to convene a special assembly session with the agenda of passing the anti-NEET Bill again and sending it to Tamil Nadu governor RN Ravi.
In the all-party meeting, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, CM Stalin, stated that the governor sat on the bill for 142 days and sent it back.
With 234 MLAs in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, the anti-NEET Bill got the votes of 230 MLAs as the BJP was the only party which had opposed it.
Meanwhile, CM Stalin has also mentioned that this was about the state’s authority.
